Shannon L. Griffin, DMD

Are you looking for an outstanding dentist who has a knack for becoming your friend before you’re even a patient?  Then, Dr. Griffin is for you! Respected industry wide for being knowledgeable and passionate about her profession, she continues to practice, teach, and study -- growing from each experience.

She recently was named by her peers as one of the top eight dentists in Edmond and is currently listed at www.usatopdentists.com. 

Dr. Griffin also was recently asked by the Oklahoma City Zoo to perform oral surgery on their lion!

She travels worldwide to teach other dental professionals how she serves her patients and leads her team.

• Originally from New Mexico, Dr. Griffin earned her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State and graduated from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
• The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry offered an opportunity for advanced training in complex dental treatments and implants.
• In 1999, she opened her practice in Edmond. 
• Dr. Griffin serves on faculty at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry where she works with doctors in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. 
• She is also an adjunct professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
• She serves on the Advisory Committee for Rose State University’s dental hygiene program and Metro Tech’s dental assisting program.
• She is an accomplished speaker, writer and coach with Jameson Management [insert link/hyperlink], helping other dental professionals improve their practices.
• Accomplished with Cerec, in-office crown fabrication, Dr. Griffin is certified to teach the clinical systems of the Cerec technology to other dentists and their teams.

Dr. Griffin and her husband, Jeff Kaufmann, have two sons, JJ and George. She enjoys spending time out doors, snow skiing, reading and puzzles.

Karen G. Reed, DDS

Both Cowboys and Sooners will appreciate Dr. Reed’s expert care and engaging communication style. Determined to provide you with a positive experience with each visit at Griffin & Reed Comprehensive Dentistry, she believes consistency and education are crucial among her team members. So, she is diligent about working with the team on clinical systems, incorporating the most advanced technologies and treatments. 

• Proud to have degrees from both major Oklahoma universities, Dr. Reed graduated from Oklahoma State and then from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry with distinction.
• Dr. Reed joined Dr. Griffin in 1999. Together they have partnered to build the positive dental practice people throughout Edmond and the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area now respect.
• She serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma County Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees for the JD Robertson Foundation at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.

Dr. Reed is married to Jeff Reed, MD. They are the proud parents of one dog, Buffy.
